Gary Edwin McDaniel Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 8, 2024, at the age of 78, Gary Edwin McDaniel (Schertz, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond McDaniel and Golda McDaniel; and his siblings, Joan Irving, Charles McDaniel, Kay McDaniel and Terry McDaniel.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon L. McDaniel; his daughter Sherry A. Reed; his grandson Dalton R. Reed; and his friend Gary. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Schertz Funeral Home & Crematory (2217 FM3009, Schertz, TX 78154, USA). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209). A procession will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers any memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society (ACS) and Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital in Gary's name.
