He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Margaret Fendley Bitsis; his parent Geneva Bitsis; and his siblings, Nickolaos, Socrates Bitsis and Sparta Bitsis Nigrelli.
He is survived by: his children, Diana Kay Bitsis (Rodney) and Daniel Christopher Bitsis (Diane); his grandchildren, Craig Gagne (Audrey), Christine Espinoza (Michael), Stefanie McCarty (Matt), Daniel Christopher Bitsis Jr. (Kristin), Thomas Bitsis (Cristen) and Johnathan Bitsis; and his great grandchildren, Ruth Gagne, Luke Gagne, Nora Gagne, Evelyn Bitsis, Margaret Bitsis, Olivia Bitsis, Emma Espinoza and Cameron Espinoza.
