He is survived by: his children, James Robert Burns Jr. of Saratoga, Donal Earl Burns of Hull, Donna Jean Burns (Bo) of Hull and David Lynn Burns (Ladonna) of Saratoga; his wife Cynthia Burns of Saratoga, Texas; his daughter Mia Burns of Saratoga, Texas; his grandchildren, Kendal Taylor (Brandon) of Daisetta, Kameron Frischenmeyer, Konnor Melancon, Kenzie, Kryssa Melancon, Indiya Broussard, Johnathan Cain, Kylee Frischenmeyer, Kameron Lewis, Alex Burns, Ashlyn Burns, Lillian Burns, Edward Burns and Hayden Whiddon; his great grandchildren, Hudson Gray, Haislee, Addison and Emberly; his siblings, Marlene Calhoun (Donal), Darlene Ritter, LaJeania Hicks (James), Sharon Mayabb and Garland Burns; and his close friend Dennis Joe Parish. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews.

James "Bobby" Robert Burns, 68, of Saratoga, Texas went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, June 12, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with Alzheimer's Dementia.
