He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Chesnut Edwards of Brazos; his parents, Leonard Edwards and Bessie Trammel Edwards; and his brother Bobby Edwards. He is survived by: his children, Gary Edwards (Elizabeth), Deborah Martin (late Don Martin), Douglas Edwards (Barbara), Donna Hartman (Roy) and Karen Searcy (late Larry Searcy); and his sister Janet Marsden. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 greatgrandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins.
