He is survived by: his mother Lydia Canales; his wife Yolanda Alvarez (Canales); his children, Hector Jr. (Kristal), Herardo (Lisa), Yvette (Sal) and Adrian (Alma); his goddaughter Jessica; and his sister Norma. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
