He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Melendez and Benita Melendez; and his siblings, Eloisa and Oscar. He is survived by: his grandchild Leya; his wife San Juana of Santa Rosa, TX.; his child Leya; his siblings, Jose Melendez (Julia) of Corpus Christi, Mariano Melendez of Argentina, Fernando Melendez of Corpus Christi and Rosie Shagren (Jeff) of Washington State; his sons, Pablo Melendez and Timoteo Melendez; his nephews, Nissi Cantu and Teodoro Melendez; and his brother Joe Melendez. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
