She was predeceased by: her husband Ell Edward Simpson; her parents, Sherman W. Rush and Sarah Quinola Rush (Robertson); her son Sherman Simpson; and her brother Arthur A. Autry.
She is survived by: her children, Gordon Simpson and Carolyn Horton; her grandchildren, Anthony Horton, Katrina Simpson-Acree (Dylan), Nina Simpson-Girod and Kaylene Simpson; and her great grandchild Hayden Girod. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
