It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lorenza H. Castro (Santa Fe, Texas), who passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jose Tilo Castro; her parents, Bonifacio Hernandez and Socorro Hernandez (Luna); her son Samuel W. Castro Sr.; and her siblings, Bonifacio, Roberto Hernandez (Bobby), Socorro Huerta (Cora) and Julia Valdez.
She is survived by: her children, Robert T. Castro, Sr. (Lucy), Frank R. Castro, Sr. (Theresa), Gilbert "Gibby" Castro (Cindy) and Annette C. Garcia (Paulo, Sr.); her brother Johnny Hernandez (Mary); and her daughter-in-law Maria Castro. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (10114 Hwy 6, Hitchcock, TX 77563). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
