She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Kenney and Effie Colly Kenney; her husband Leo Shields; her sons, Freddie Shields and Billie Joe Shields; and her grandchild Ashley Michelle Zabel Walters.
She is survived by: her children, Gwen Walters (Charles) of Early, Thomas "Tommy" Shields (Laura Williams) of Santa Anna and Jimmy Shields (Chastity) of Brownwood; and her sisters, Patsy Alexander of Ranger, Betty Stroud (David) of Longview and Shirley Taylor of Knox City. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
