He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lorene Hutchinson Whitmire and Lewis Whitmire; his brother Joe Hale; and his grandson James York, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Robby Hale (Christina) of Clyde, Tracy Hale (Bob Loggins) and Bobby Hale (Kristen) of Hawaii; his brother Gary Hale of Coleman; his uncle Kermit Whitmire of Clyde; his sister-in-law Vickie Hale of Coleman; and his son-in-law Shannon Burfield. He is also survived by six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
