It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Ruth Rainey of Sanger, Texas, born in Gilmer, Texas, who passed away on May 11, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Virginia Ruth departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Virginia Ruth may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Virginia Ruth leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Susie Youngkin Smith and Archie Smith; and her daughter Shelley Kae Stephens. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Rainey of Sanger. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
