He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Aaron and Lou Dora Rhodes (Vandever); his son Thomas Michael "Dusty" Rhodes; and his half-brothers, Bill Campbell, Bob Campbell and Jim Campbell.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Diane Bailes of Sanger; his children, Angie (Luke Wilkinson) of Sanger and Russell Rhodes (Jessica) of Sanger; his mother-in-law Betty Bailes of Sanger; his sister-in-law Sue Cudd of Fort Worth; his grandchildren, Bobby Wilkinson, Ashley Wilkinson McGraw (Nathan McGraw), Brooke (Shawna Hash), Abbie Wilkinson Carrow (Kyle Carrow), Rusty Rhodes, Allie Wilkinson, Brandon Rhodes, Dusty "Jace" Rhodes and Kooper Rhodes; and his great grandchildren, Michael Wilkinson, Elijah Wilkinson, Mason Carrow, McKinley McGraw, Hadley Wilkinson and Cason Wilkinson. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
