He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Petitt and Bessie McNabb Petitt; his wife Janice Robertson Petitt; his grandson Michael Gibbs; and his brother-in-law Mickey Rollans.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carla Adams (Prentis) of Sanford, Lawanda Phelan (Dennis) of Sanford and Cindy Hart (Jon) of Stratford; and his sister Dianne Rollans of San Antonio. He is also survived by thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
