He is survived by: his wife Katherine "Sandy" Schuhmacher; his children, Katherine Elizabeth, William Leslie, Andy Schmidt of Raleigh, NC and Stephanie Lawrence of Denver, CO; his grandchildren, Jake and Anna; his daughter Sharon; his son-in-law Patrick Sadd of Colleyville, TX.; and his grandchildren, Mallory, Hayden and Brady.
