He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Head and Edna Head. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Head of Sandia, Texas; his children, Ken Head (Anna) of Canyon Lake, Texas and Jennifer Shortt (Vaughn) of Fulshear, Texas; his grandchildren, Hailey Head, Tristen Perkins, Dalton Head, Elysia Perkins, Alec Perkins, Reed Shortt and Macie Shortt; his great grandchild Stetson Ryker Marsalis; and his sisters, Kari Head of Colorado and Christine Staley of Portland.
