With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peggye Anne Whittenburg of San Saba, Texas, born in Leakesville, Mississippi, who passed away on January 13, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ford Hillman and Vera Hillman (McInnis); her husband Edsel Whittenburg; her son Ray Shoemaker; and her siblings, Donna Cornelson and James Hillman.
She is survived by: her daughter Deborah Shoemaker of Palm Springs, CA; her sister Sue Lambert (Fonda) of Lucedale, MS; and her grandchildren, Josh Shoemaker of Midland, TX and Elizabeth Parker (Todd) of Dothan, AL. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Therefore, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to Chappel Cemetery in San Saba, TX and/or Sweetwater Cemetery in Leakesville, MS.
