He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jesus Almaguer and Leonora E. Almaguer; his sons, Nicholas and Chad (Austin); his brothers, Ruben, Sr., John, Joe and Manuel Almaguer; his former wife Gladys Almaguer; and his grandchildren, Kendall Almaguer, Legend Almaguer, Andrew Almaguer, Alyssa Almaguer and Zachery Martinez, Jr.. He was also cherished by family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations are recommended to the American Cancer Society or to the St. Jude's Children's Cancer Center.
