With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vickie Ann Holbrook of San Marcos, Texas, born in Iola, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 6, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vic Nelson and Doris Turpin (McGuire); her stepfather Raymond E. Turpin; her husband Roy Holbrook; and her brother Don Nelson.
She is survived by: her children, Roy Lee Holbrook (July) of Seguin and Crystal Holbrook of San Marcos; her grandchildren, Taylor Holbrook, Kimberly Mowrey, Payton Pierra, Blayne Banks, Torie Johnson and Celeste Hunter; and her great grandchildren, Randal Sayles, Royalty Sayles, Maya Herrera Sylvia Pierra, Vincent Pierra and Bobby Pierra.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pennington Funeral Home (323 N Comanche St, San Marcos, TX 78666). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Memory Lawn Memorial Park (19106 San Marcos Hwy, San Marcos, TX 78666).
She worked as a finance manager for the Texas Education Foundation and retired after 54 years.
