He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Cowan and Joyce "Yvonne" Cowan; and his siblings, Michael Cowan and Joyce Cowan. He is survived by: his wife Janie Cowan; his children, Matthew Cowan, June Worthey (Michael), Nathan Cowan (Kristal), Samuel Cowan (Norma) and Elizabeth Bolden (Joshua); his siblings, Cecli Wayne Cowan (Gayna) and Patricia "Jeanie" Lackey; and his sister-in-law Patricia Cowan. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
