He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Nichols and Hilda Nichols; and his great grandchild Beau Hayob. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Forgy Nichols of San Marcos; his children, Kerry (DeDe) of Kingdom City, MO, Dea Nobis (Brian) of Paris, MO and Tamra Meek (Chris) of Spring Hill, KS.; his grandchildren, Haley Larson (Nick), Seth Nobis (Audrey), Jill Nobis (Drew), Logan Nichols (Symone), Quintin Nichols (Hannah), Jolie Meek and Cody Meek; his brothers, Don of Vandalia, MO and Dan; his sister-in-law Theresa Forgy of Overland Park, KS.; and his great grandchildren, Mercer, Rowan, Grayson, Ava, Karter, Rayna, Beckham and Becca.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (1906 I 35 N Frontage Rd, San Marcos, TX 78666). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations honoring Mr. Nichols may be made to the American Heart Association or Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund.
