She was predeceased by: her parent Ora Lee Hoffman Gibson; her husband Caroll Smith; her father Arthur Gibson; her siblings, Howard Gibson, Arthur Gibson and Jo Ann Gibson; and her nephew Jimmy Harlow.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gaye Smith of New Braunfels, Gayle Champion (Pete) of San Marcos, Cheri Martin (Paul) of Driftwood and Cheryl Halla (Bunge) of Weimar; her sister Virginia Harlow (Jim) of La Porte; her grandchildren, Caleb Martin, Mattie Martin, Miranda (Lance Whitehouse), Jake Champion, Samantha (Josh Heiser), Bella (Hayden Cashat), Ashton Bailey, Megan Crawford and Korby Halla; and her great grandchild Alice Heiser.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (1906 I 35 N Frontage Rd, San Marcos, TX 78666). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, those that wish to do so may make a donation in Jewel's memory to the Calvary Baptist Church building fund.
