It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Isidra Zarate of San Marcos, Texas, born in Eden, Texas, who passed away on April 22, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bonifacio Maldonado and Maria Esquivel Maldonado; her spouse Santos Zarate; her sons, Alfred, Jesse, Santos, Jr. and Milton Dean; and her sister Maria Tomasa Sanchez.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rosemary Box of San Marcos and Janet A. Zarate of San Marcos; her sister Lucy Zarate of Ranger; and her grandchildren, Andrea Savage of Conway, Paul Zarate of Colorado Springs, Carl David Zarate of Shreveport, Louisiana and Kyler Zarate of Fort Cavazos.
