He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Alejandra; and his daughters, Isabel and Sofia.

A celebration of life was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Texas State University Performing Arts Center ~ Recital Hall (430 Moon St, San Marcos, TX 78666).

“Dear Family and Friends, I'm sorry for your loss. I met Alex at a Faculty STEM Communications workshop in 2021. I remember his enthusiasm and his ability to make a Material Scientist like me comfortable in an audience of predominantly Education faculty. That workshop we did together made a good memory.
