He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Jackson Steele, Sr. and Elizabeth Henderson Steele Chance; and his grandson Dylan Hussey. He is survived by: his significant other Frances Anderson Steele; his sons, Jeremy Steele (Amanda) and P. J. Steele (Erika); his siblings, Pamela Steele Dodson (David), Anna Chance Keeney (Brent), Linda Steele Barringer (Steve), Shawn Steele (Tanya) and Terry Steele (Suzie); his grandchildren, Tanner Steele, Amrie Steele, Caleb Steele, Rebecca Steele, Amy Gerry and Ana Gerry; and his great grandchild Josiah Gerry. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
