He was predeceased by: his parents, John Douglas, Sr. and Wanda Faye Redden; his daughter Paula Jo Whitaker; his granddaughter Baillie Britt; and his brother Steven Michael Redden.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Ann Blair Redden; his children, Joanna Elliott (Toby) and Brett Douglas Redden (Abel Hernandez); his brother Paul Redden (Karrie Herod); and his grandchildren, Hunter Britt and Kamdyn Elliott.
