He was predeceased by: his parent Dorothy Edmond; and his former wife Saundra Edmond. He is survived by: his wife Laura Edmond; his stepsons, Brooks Brinson (Amy), Boyd Brinson (Julie), Branch Brinson (Angela) and Bonner Brinson (Jenny); his grandchildren, Avery Sleeper, Ashley Sleeper, Cason Brinson, John Brinson, Jake Brinson, Conner Brinson, Justin Brown and Jeremy Brown; his niece Brandi Hunter; and his pets, Sidney and Prissy.
