With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruben Garza Sr. of San Juan, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 3, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nestor Garza and Escela Garza. He is survived by: his wife Ramona Garza; his children, Juan Guadalupe Garza (Olga Alicia), Ruben Garza, Jr. and Maribel Castro; his grandchildren, Natalie Monique Cortez, Juan Guadalupe Garza, Jr., Christopher Loren Garza, Klaryssa Esela Castro and Alejandro Daniel Castro; and his great grandchildren, Gianna Vella Cortez and Mila Monique Cortez.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home - San Juan (311 E Expressway 83, San Juan, TX 78589). A prayer was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Palm Valley Memorial Gardens (4607 N Sugar Rd, Pharr, TX 78577).
