He was predeceased by: his parents, Vicente Tanguma and Dolores Tanguma; his wife Judith "Judy" Tanguma; his daughter Laura Tanguma; and his siblings, Leonel Tanguma and Yolanda T. Garza.
He is survived by: his children, Diana Montano (Israel Munoz) of Donna, Melissa Tanguma of Waco, Debra Gongora (Joe) of Waco, Leonel Tanguma of San Juan and Linda Tanguma of Donna; his grandchildren, Aaron Munoz, Katarina Munoz, Cristian Munoz, Delilah Gongora, Elijah Gongora, Josiah Gongora and Maliah Gongora; and his siblings, Guadalupe, Maria, Emma Pompa (Pedro) of San Juan and Gilberto Tanguma (Lupita) of San Juan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
