He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Pena and Mercedes Duarte; and his siblings, Antonio Pena, Jesus Pena, Erasmo Pena and Irma Pena.
He is survived by: his wife San Juana Pena; his children, Patricia Cardenas (Rogelio Jr.) and Juan Pablo Pena Jr. (Alicia); his grandchildren, Rogelio Cardenas III (Ruby), Jonathan Andrew Pena, Jenna Rae Pena and Juan Pablo Pena Jr.; and his brother Gilberto Pena.
