With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jose Castillo of San Juan, Texas, who passed away on February 10, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Jose departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Jose may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Jose leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilario Castillo and Aurora Castillo; and his brothers, Raul and Ruben Castillo (Silvia). He is survived by: his wife Esmeralda Castillo; and his siblings, Hilario Castillo, Jr. (Teresa), Elva De La Rosa and Mary Alice Garces (Ruben). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home - San Juan (311 E Expressway 83, San Juan, TX 78589). A prayer was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at 807 State Hwy 495, San Juan, TX 78589. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the San Juan Cemetery (405 Cemetery Rd, San Juan, TX 78589).
