We bid farewell to Jessie C. Abitua of San Juan, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 8, 2024 at the age of 87. Jessie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joaquin and Maria (Angeles Abitua); and his siblings, Joaquin Abitua, Jr., Leonardo Abitua, Anita Abitua and Maria Luisa Puente.
He is survived by: his wife Estella Abitua; his children, April, Wanda Pena, Norma Aldaco (Jose), Alejandro Pena (Blanca), Guadalupe Pena, Amador and Cristela Tejeda (Alfonso); and his siblings, Guadalupe Navarro, Rosalinda Quintanilla, Eva Perales, Ricardo and Pedro Abitua. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home - San Juan (311 E Expressway 83, San Juan, TX 78589). A rosary was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (216 W 1st St, San Juan, TX 78589).
