He was predeceased by: his father Jose Artemio Sloss. He is survived by: his wife Maria Villegas; his children, Trisha Sloss (Albert Garcia), Javier Sloss Jr. (Jennika), Jeremy Sloss (Anette), Josiah Sloss and Jayden Sloss; his granddaughters, Jolyn Sloss, Jaylah Sloss, Jenevieve Sloss and Juliette Sloss; his mother Juana Sloss; and his siblings, Jose Sloss Jr. (Lupita) and Soraida Salinas (Reynaldo).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home - San Juan (311 E Expressway 83, San Juan, TX 78589). A prayer was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery (2520 Inspiration Rd, Mission, TX 78572).
