He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernesto Vega and Rafaela Vega; and his siblings, Guadalupe Vega and Rosa Vega Suarez. He is survived by: his wife Juana Felan Vega; and his children, Margarita Vega, Elva Vega, Marisol Vega, Ernesto Vega III (Elisa) and Jessica Vega. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; eleven great- grandchildren; two sisters and six brothers.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home - San Juan (311 E Expressway 83, San Juan, TX 78589). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish (216 W 1st St, San Juan, TX 78589). A burial was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Palm Valley Memorial Gardens (4607 N Sugar Rd, Pharr, TX 78577).
