She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Tamez and Evangelina A. Tamez; her husband Eliseo Soto Sr.; her grandson Dustin Tyler Baize; and her sister Sulema T. Gauna.
She is survived by: her family, Adelaida "Laya" and Lord; her children, Roel Soto, Eliseo Soto Jr. of Pharr, Noe Soto (Claudia) of Weslaco, Belinda S. De Leon (Victor) of San Juan, Norma Aguilera of Edinburg and Melisa Soto of San Juan; and her sisters, Vilma, Elena and Anita T. Guajardo of San Juan. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
