He was predeceased by: his parents, Valente A. Adams Sr. and Maria Vela Adams; his siblings, Leonardo Adams, Joe Rodriguez and Lydia Valdez; the mother of his children Mary Perales Adams; and his stepdaughter Angelita Casso.
He is survived by: his wife Evangelina C. Adams; his sons, Valente "Buddy" Adams III of San Diego and Armando Adams (Franchesca) of Ben Bolt; his stepson Javier Gonzalez of San Diego; his daughters, Stella Adams of San Diego, Brandy Adams of San Diego, Debra Adams of San Diego and Elizondo of San Diego; his stepdaughters, Melody Rios (Victor) of San Diego, Dorothy Rodriguez of San Diego, Elma Casso of San Diego and Tefany Gonzalez of Washington; his brothers, Larry Adams (Diana) of San Diego, Leonel Adams of San Diego, Leroy Adams (Leticia) of San Diego and Leo Adams (Francis) of Alice; his sister-in-law Dalia Adams of San Diego; and his sisters, Yolanda Ham of Alabama, Maria I. Trejo of San Antonio, Paulita Chavarria Laura (Juan) and Darlene Davila (Roy) of Alice. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
