She was predeceased by: her parents, Horacio Garza and Julia Flores Garza; and her siblings, Diana Lichtenberger, Delia G. Lopez, Servando Garza, Oscar Garza, Horacio Amando Garza and Heberto F. Garza.
She is survived by: her children, Leopoldo "Polo" Serna Jr. and Margarita S. Moncada (Ricardo); the father of her children Leopoldo R. Serna; her stepmother Modesta P. Serna; her sisters, Lydia Rangel and Nancy G. Gonzalez; her grandchildren, Koreena M. Serna, Kasey L. Serna, Kelly A. Serna, Robert J. Moncada and Michael R. Moncada; and her great grandchild Luther R. Diaz. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
