He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramiro Munoz and Delia Munoz; his brother Roland Munoz; and his niece Amanda Munoz. He is survived by: his children, Dian Munoz-Ramirez (JR) and Austin Munoz (Mary); his siblings, Ramiro Munoz, Sylvestre Munoz and Clara Utley (Octavio Guajardo); his close friend Rosalva Campos; his grandchildren, Tori Gomez, Heidi Munoz, Steven Muldrow, Kyrsten Cooper, Levi Maldonado, Lewis Maldonado, Xiomara Campos, Roel Campos III and Remi Campos; and also, Jose Campos, Karissa Campos (Ramon Maldonado) and Roel Campos II (Genesis).
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home – San Diego (1016 E Gravis Ave, San Diego, TX 78384). A rosary was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church (401 S Victoria St, San Diego, TX 78384).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in honor of the Ruben Munoz Scholarship Fund.
