She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Cavazos and Librada M. Cavazos; her husband Abel Canales; her son Lauro Canales; her sister Maria Sobevda Cavazos; her son-in-law Clyde Halsey; and her grandsons, Phillip Anthony Reyes and Isaac Arman Reyes.
She is survived by: her children, Leonel Canales (Margarita H.) of Benavides, Luis Abel Canales (Alicia M.) of Kingsville, Leovardo Canales (Irma C.) of Hebbronville, Lilly Halsey, Ludy Salinas (Ramiro C.), Luz Maria Reyes (Ruben) of Lake Jackson, Linda Canales (Barbara Luna) of Corpus Christi and Lora Jane Trevino (Mario) of Lake Jackson; her brother Jose Cavazos (Maria Elena); her brother-in-law Leonel Garcia, Sr.; and her sisters, Cedilia Guajardo (Corando), Oralia Marie Ramirez, Pauline Duron of Callalen, Juanita Guerra of Ramirez and Idalia Jamie of Corpus Christi. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
