He was predeceased by: his parents, Margarito Maldonado, Sr. and Consuelo Espinoza Maldonado; his son Adrian Maldonado; and his siblings, Alfredo, Teofilo, Manuel, Gilberto Maldonado, Concepcion Maldonado, Emma Vidal, Elva Luera, Estella Lara and Gilma De La Rosa.
He is survived by: his sons, Arturo Maldonado (Elena) and Margarito Maldonado III (Yvette); his granddaughter Angie San Miguel (Hector); his daughter-in-law Corina Maldonado; his grandchildren, Abbica Lee Maldonado (Joel Fong), April San Miguel (Jason Perez), Arturo Maldonado, Jr. (Cassandra), Adrian Maldonado, Jr. (Michelle Lazo) and Hector San Miguel, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Mila Jade Maldonado, Loni Rose Maldonado and Kai Lee Jeu Fong; his siblings, Elodia Garza, Sr. (Rey) and Ruben Maldonado, Sr. (Rosa); and his brothers-in-law, Victor Trevino and Eugenio Trevino (Elva). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
