He was predeceased by: his mother Josefa "Pepa" Alaniz; and his siblings, Rosalinda Hinojosa and Roel Nunez. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia I. Nunez; his sons, J. J. Nunez (Wife) and Lorenzo Nunez III; his father Lorenzo Nunez, Sr.; his stepmother Maria D. Salazar; and his brother Daniel Nunez (Toni). He is also survived by five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
