He is survived by: his mother Ninfa Lazo of San Diego, Texas; his wife Leticia Lazo of San Diego, Texas; his children, Jessica Garcia (Jorge) of San Diego, Texas, Jose Lazo III of San Diego, Texas and Javier Daniel Lazo of San Diego, Texas; his siblings, Gloria Garcia of Alice, Texas, Amadita L. Luera (Ignacio) of San Diego, Texas, Hector Lazo of San Diego and Arturo Lazo (Anna) of Alice, Texas; his grandchildren, Alexis Nicole Perez, Aliza Marie Garcia, Araceli Garcia, Theresa Nicole Lazo, Rene Gabriel Hinojosa and Gabriel Rene Hinojosa; and his great grandchild Iliana Solley.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Garza Funeral Home (4571 S Farm to Market 1329, San Diego, TX 78384). A rosary was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church (401 S Victoria St, San Diego, TX 78384). A burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at the San Diego Cemetery.
