He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonardo Guerra and Romana Guerra; his wife Jacinta Guerra; his children, Melinda Valdez and Bobby Guerra; and his siblings, Santiago Guerra, Benito Guerra, Roberto Guerra, Leonardo Guerra Jr., Jesse Herrera, Joe Herrera, Mario Herrera and Lucia Garza.
He is survived by: his adoptive daughter Norma Munoz (Romeo); his stepchildren, Cynthia Garcia (Pedro) and Manuel Muniz (Lucy); his sisters, Amelia Andrade (Alex), Gloria Vecera (Armando), Maggie Garza (Rene) and Lucinda Polk (Tom); and his grandchildren, Matthew, Michael Valdez, Nyelie Guerra, Ally Guerra, Lawson Picasso and Elizabeth Munoz. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
