He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesus S. Salaiz, Sr. and Mercedes Garza Salaiz; his brothers, Ruben G. Salaiz and Jesus S. Salaiz, Jr.; his niece Aimee L. De Hoyes; and his nephews, Devin M. Castillo and Kelvin King.
He is survived by: the mother of his children Elena G. Salaiz; his sons, Hector G. Salaiz, Jr., Oscar Ruben Salaiz (Erica), Mario Andres Salaiz (Ashley) and Jesus Daniel Salaiz; and his sisters, Celina S. Trevino (Amado R.) and Olga S. Garza (Oscar, Jr.). He is also survived by five grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews.
