It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carlos Rene Gonzalez of San Diego, Texas, who passed away on November 29, 2024, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Silvestre D. Gonzalez Jr.; and his brother Luis Daniel "Danny" Gonzalez. He is survived by: his wife Alma G. Gonzalez of San Diego, Texas; his children, John Michael Gonzalez of Austin, Texas, Pedro Saul Gonzalez of San Digo, Texas, Jaime Adrian Gonzalez of Seattle, Washington and Sarah Lynn Johnson (Terrance) of San Diego, Texas; his mother Ernestina "Tina" Saenz of Benavides, Texas; his sister Gloria Garcia (David) of San Diego, Texas; his grandchildren, Nyjah Paul Uballe, Abriana Gonzalez, Elana Janae Johnson, Aniya Malani Johnson and Cyla Ranae Johnson; his nieces and nephews, Jacob Daniel Gonzalez of Luis Daniel, Andres Gabriel Gonzalez, Desiree Marie Garcia, Deandra Michelle Garcia and David Martin Garcia II (Sara); his mother-in-law Lydia C.; and his sisters-in-law, Velma Gonzalez and Alma Gonzalez. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Garza Funeral Home (4571 S Farm to Market 1329, San Diego, TX 78384). A rosary was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church (401 S Victoria St, San Diego, TX 78384). A burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at the Loma Alta Cemetery.
