He was predeceased by: his parents, Fela Villarreal and Benito Hinojosa Sr.; his grandmother Lucia T. Villarreal; his daughter Veronica Hinojosa; his brother Ruben Hinojosa; and his siblings-in-law, Yolanda G. Hinojosa and Tony P. Gonzales.
He is survived by: his children, Ruben Lisa-Hinojosa and Margaret H. Roman-Cruz; and his siblings, Sonny Hinojosa (Yolanda) and Irma Gonzales (Tony). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
