He was predeceased by: his parents, Benito and Maria; his sister Sara B. Garza; and his brother-in-law Guillermo Garza (Ernestina Morales). He is survived by: his wife Lily Jimenez Sanchez; his sisters, Rosa Lopez (Antonio), Dolores S. Lopez, Mary D. Sanchez and Rachel S. Gonzalez (Hector); his brother-in-law Roger Plassenthal; and his nieces and nephews, Rosemary, April, Juanita, Monica, Genny, Marco, Lucy of Christa, J. D. and Ivan.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Thomae-Garza Funeral Home (395 S Sam Houston Blvd, San Benito, TX 78586). A prayer was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
