It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Perfecta H. Villafranco of San Benito, Texas, born in Harlingen, Texas, who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Guadalupe Villafranco, Jr.; her parents, Erasmo Hernandez and Virginia Hernandez; and her siblings, Daniel Hernandez, Thomas Hernandez, Juanita Torreo and Mary Hernandez.
She is survived by: her children, Sonya Y. Torres, Benedict R. Lopez and Benito Lopez, Jr.; and her siblings, Maria Santa Hernandez of Michigan and Aurelio Hernandez of Edingburg, Texas. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Thomae Garza Funeral Home (395 S Sam Houston Blvd, San Benito, TX 78586). A rosary was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the St Joseph Catholic Church (1001 US-77 BUS, San Benito, TX 78586). A burial will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Mont Meta Memorial Park (6501 Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77007).
