She was predeceased by: her parents, Alla Virginia (Powell) and Vernon Forrest Jones; her husband Don D Cowan; her sister Virginia Griffing; her son Ben Cowan; and her sons-in-law, Tommy Botkin and David Burton.
She is survived by: her children, Brad, Chris Cowan, Carolyn Botkin, DeAnna Burton and San Benito; her daughter-in-law Tammy Cowan; her grandchildren, Drew (Laura Cowan), Russell (Krystal Cowan), Glen (Colette Cowan), Kevin (Sarah Cowan), Liz (Cody Phillips), Logan (Kelsey Cowan), Emily Brown, Callie (Aaron Lewis), Carlie Burton, Annie (Craig Robertson) and Alex (Jeremy Eddington); her sister Linda Hook; and her great grandchildren, Drew Cowan, Russell Cowan, Kevin Cowan, Glen Cowan, Logan Cowan, Brady Brown, Cooper Brown, Donnie Carl and Jason Carl. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (400 N Sam Houston Blvd, San Benito, TX 78586). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Tahoka Cemetery.
