She was predeceased by: her parents, Santos Rodriguez and Guadalupe Rodriguez; and her husband Gregorio Cortez Jr. Maria Elena. She is survived by: her children, Gregorio Cortez III (Susan), Cynthia Genoveva Estrada (Manuel) and Homer Joel Cortez (Nora). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
