He is survived by: his wife Alicia C. Vargas; his children, Dalia Garcia (Gabriel), Leticia Vargas Benavidez (Rafael), Estella Lozano (Pedro), Rufino Vargas (Hermy) and Angel Vargas; and his siblings, Nestor Vargas, Noe Vargas and Candelaria Tobias. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
